Its’ really important for us (single & families) to keep track of where we stand with our finances. We all do that in different ways…what works for one person, may not work for another, and that’s okay…as long as whatever system you are using is actually working.
I am one of those people who have to write it down on paper. For some reason, my mind absorbs it better. I have to visually see it so that it is clear. When I can see it…I don’t have to guess about it. I have my financial road map that makes sure I am staying within my budget, and taking care of those things that I’m obligated to each month. It also helps me to “Not” spend money that I don’t have, and be conscience of ways that perhaps I can save money.
When we don’t use a written system that works, staying on track with our finances can be very difficult…even almost impossible to reach our financial goals. It’s just not as easy trying to keep up with it all in our head. If you have never used a written system to help you stay on track in your finances…I would like very much to encourage you to try it.
This is a simple, basic, Monthly Budget Tracker. Nothing complicated. (I don’t like complicated) 🙂 There is a place at the top for the month, an area for the income, a space for your fixed and variable monthly expenses, a small space for next months goals, and a summary. I also added a “Notable” area for jotting down something of importance.
This is one of my favorite printables…it’s a financial tool that I use faithfully, and a another “must have” for any budget binder. I am so thrilled to be sharing this with you. I hope that it will help you as much as it always helps me.
